When there’s space, we can admit quickly — often the same day you call. And you’ll speak to someone who knows whether a bed is free right now, rather than a call center working from a script.

What happens when you call

Step 1: You call
Any time, day or night. You’ll speak to a person, not a queue. Tell us what’s going on in your own words.
Step 2: We check your benefits
Have your insurance card handy if you can. We’ll look at what your PPO plan covers while you’re still on the phone, at no cost.
Step 3: We tell you straight
If there’s space and we’re the right fit, we’ll talk about coming in today. If we’re not, we’ll say so rather than waste a day you don’t have.
We work with PPO plans, out of network
Being direct about this saves everyone a phone call.
Dunn Recovery is out of network with every insurance carrier. We hold no contracts with Aetna, Blue Cross, Cigna or anyone else.
What we do work with is PPO plans on an out-of-network basis. Most PPO policies include out-of-network benefits, and for many people those cover a meaningful share of treatment. What yours covers comes down to your deductible, your out-of-network maximum, and how your plan handles residential care.
We’ll check it free, before you commit to anything.
If you have an HMO, Medi-Cal, Medicare or Medicaid
We aren’t able to work with those plans. Call anyway — we’d rather point you somewhere that can help than leave you searching at two in the morning.

Detox and residential treatment
Dunn Recovery is licensed for two levels of care, and those are the only two we’ll ever tell you about.
- Detox — the first stage, getting through withdrawal safely before the work of treatment begins.
- Residential treatment — living on site while you work through what sits underneath the addiction, with therapy, group work and a structured daily routine.
