A small house doing two things properly
Dunn Recovery opened in May 2024 at 22650 Lost Road in Wildomar, and it has been one house with six beds ever since.
We are licensed by the California Department of Health Care Services for detox and residential treatment, and we do not offer levels of care we are not licensed for. If someone calls needing outpatient treatment or sober housing, we say so and point them somewhere that provides it.
We treat men and women. We treat alcohol, opioids including heroin and fentanyl, benzodiazepines, cocaine and methamphetamine. We are out of network with every insurance carrier, which we tell people on the first call rather than at the end of it.
In February 2025 we were accredited by The Joint Commission under its Behavioral Health Care and Human Services programme. That accreditation is publicly verifiable, and our documents are published here so you can check them against the state and Joint Commission registers rather than taking our word for it.
Six beds was the decision, not the limit
Most treatment facilities are built to hold considerably more people. Dunn Recovery was set up deliberately small, and it shapes everything about how treatment works here.

The practical difference is that nothing goes unnoticed. In a larger facility a difficult night can pass without anyone registering it until the morning handover. Here, the person on shift already knows what kind of week you have had.

Where treatment happens
Dunn Recovery is a residential home, not a clinical building. Bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room and a yard — and every photograph on this website is of that house.
Detox and residential treatment both happen here. Nobody is moved between buildings partway through a stay, and nobody arrives to find the place looks nothing like the pictures.

Dunn Recovery is out of network with all insurance providers
We work with most PPO plans on an out-of-network basis. We will check your benefits for free, by phone, and tell you what your plan is likely to cover before you commit to anything.
