Licensing and accreditation
Both of our credentials are public records. The numbers are below so you can check them yourself, rather than taking our word for it.
Why this page exists
Most treatment center websites show a row of logos and leave it there.
A logo isn’t a credential. Anyone can put one on a page. What matters is the license number, who issued it, what it actually permits, and whether it’s current — and whether you can look it up independently.
So here it all is.
If a facility won’t show you its license number, that tells you something.
State licensing
Dunn Recovery is licensed by the California Department of Health Care Services, the state body that regulates substance use disorder treatment facilities.

What our license covers
We are licensed for two levels of care, and we won’t tell you about any others:
- Detoxification — managing withdrawal safely as the first stage of treatment.
- Residential treatment — living on site through a structured programme of therapy and group work.
We do not provide outpatient treatment, sober living, or opioid treatment programme services such as methadone. If that’s what you need, call us anyway and we’ll try to point you somewhere that can help.
Accreditation
Accreditation is voluntary. A facility can be perfectly legal without it. We went through the process because it means an outside body has looked at how we actually operate.

A note on how long accreditation lasts
Joint Commission accreditation is customarily valid for up to 36 months, subject to their ongoing requirements. We’ve given you the date we were accredited rather than an expiry date, because the certificate doesn’t guarantee one. Quality Check will always show our current status.
What we don't claim
Worth saying plainly, because a lot of treatment marketing blurs these lines.
- We are not in network with any insurance carrier. We work with PPO plans on an out-of-network basis.
- We are not endorsed by any government agency. Appearing in a public directory is not an endorsement.
- We don't publish success rates or recovery statistics, because we don't have data that would make such a claim honest.
- We are a six-bed facility at one location. Not a campus, not a network, not multiple houses.
